HFB was established in 1970 in Singapore, Hup Fatt Brothers Engineering Pte Ltd and has expanded to three other subsidiary under her umbrella; namely, HFB Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, HFB Laser Tech (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, HFB Technologies (Suzhou) Ltd in Suzhou, China. This was possible with the leadership of our chairman, Mr David Chua. Together with his business development team, they focused on bringing in and implementing up-to-date developments and technologies into HFB group and thus giving our customers a more fulfilled one stop service centre.

March 2011
HFB Singapore is working closely with the Singapore government to build up more talents needed in the industy. With proper government funding, our company was able to grow despite the challenges in manpower in Singapore. The Singapore government was funding the company in terms of upgrading in technolgy of both people and machines. Please refer to Singapore certificates for an article put up by Spring Singapore: SpringNews Page 7.

January 2011
HFB Group had a very strong year in 2010 due to the strong market demand in Asia. The growth was higher than expected from all industries that we serve in semiconductor, food and beverage, industrial automation, solar, LED, etc... HFB Group closed our total sales turnover at 2 times of 2009. This growth was possible due to the great investment in people, new machines, expansion plans internally to take in more work from the growth of our customer. With the strong growth in 2010, we are still expecting a 15% to 20% growth in 2011.

January 2010
HFB group is meeting up in April 2010 for management meeting to close our accounts of 2009. Preliminary news it that 2009 was a good year for HFB group and the outlook for 2010 is 20% increase (year to year). This is highly contributed by our increasing sales from semiconductor and solar customers and our new setup in Tianjin.

September 2009
HFB group is going ahead with investments plans in China with customer. With firm commitments with customers, we are officially moving into Tianjin. Target date to finish the setting up of the fabrication plant in Tianjin: April 2010.

March 2009
Despite the economy downturn, HFB group saw its possible turn to positive numbers in 2009.

May 2008
- KL operations and expansion plans will cease due to customer's decision to move their operations to China.

- Group is making plans to move to a new site in China with customer, location yet to be released


March 2008
HFB Suzhou finished their setup of their machining department within the new facilities.

February 2008
- With greater demand for larger parts for HFB, there's a need to create a supply chain that can handle the treatment of such size. The group decided to setup a joint venture doing treatment in JB. It's one of its kind in the region, having the tank sizes up to 2m in height, 1m in width, 6m in length, it's now able to do any zinc treatment needed for parts for that massive size. Zinc phosphate and blue zinc are its main capabilities.

- Due to customer's request, we have setup a machining plant in KL, Malaysia.

- Plans to expand KL operations to having the capabilities of doing sheetmetal and structural work by May 2008.


January 2008
- HFB JB completed their expansion of fabrication plant (move to a new site).

- HFB Suzhou completed their expansion of fabrication plant (move to a new site).


December 2007
HFB Singapore's paintshop is approved by KLA Tencor for its required finishing.

November 2007
In seeing a need for greater emphasis on cosmetic requirements, it was decided to rely lesser on suppliers so that quality can be controlled better if done in house. HFB Singapore revamp their paintshop and setup a clean environment paintshop so as to prevent cross contamination better that has an effect on a good finishing .
